Elite Amateur Division
This division has been created for those athletes that consistently place in the top 10 overall, not age group. There will be 2 waves, male and female, starting behind the professional divisions.

The Male and Female winners will receive a complimentary entry for 2010 and a two night stay at the St. Petersburg Downtown Hilton.

Qualification Criteria
  1. Male athletes must provide proof of completing an International distance event in 2008 in a time of 2:10 or better. Female athletes must provide proof of completing an International distance event in 2008 in a time of 2:30 or better.
  2. If you cannot furnish official race results from 2008 that meet this time standard and feel that you are qualified to compete as an elite amateur based on past performances, you must submit you race resume to race management at triathlon@baycare.org. Race management reserves the right to refuse any entry. No exceptions will be made after the March 1st deadline.
  3. Official race results/resumes must be received in our office by March 1, 2009. Final decisions will be made no later than March 16. You must send results via e-mail to triathlon@baycare.org or by mail to:

All race results will be verified by race management. If we do not receive results by the March 1st deadline, you will be place in your respective open age category.

Athletes competing in this division will be included in the 2009 USAT age group rankings.
